30 minutes late running 12259 Sealdah (SDAH)- New Delhi (NDLS) A.C. DURONTO Express hauled by offlink 22377 HWH shed WAP- 4E thunders through Hathras Junction on NCR's Tundla- Aligarh stretch at flat MPS of 130 km/hr, and meets the bang on time running 55342 Bharatpur (BTE)- Kasganj...
more... (KSJ) Passenger being hauled by a WDM- 3D, which was cruising towards its next halt, Hathras Road (HTJ) on NER's Mathura Cantt.- .Kasganj route.
This is my first capture of a perpendicular crossing between two trains.
Bharatpur- Kasganj Passenger uses the Bharatpur- Achhnera- Mathura- Mathura Cantt.- Hathras City- Hathras Road- Kasganj route of WCR/ NCR/ NER, and takes 5h 25m to cover 167 kms at an average speed of 37 km/hr.
As a matter of fact, Hathras City (HTC) and Hathras Road (HTJ) belongs to NER, while Hathras Junction (HRS) and Hathras Killah (HRF) belongs to NCR. Earlier a meter gauge train used to run on this stretch, due to which there were so many numerous Hathras stations. But now, all is converted to broad gauge.
