It's better to [provide a halt at TBM so it can attract more crowd too. Similarly 12007/8 need a halt at KJM.
Most of the other zones have given a halt to their Shatabdi and Rajdhani at the metro's suburbs such as Begumpet, Ghaziabad, Borivali.

True. Three premium trains run between Mumbai and Ahmedabad - VB, Shatabdi and Tejas. All the three has a stop at Borivali. Even the super premium Tejas Rajdhani has a stop at Borivali.
Stop at suburb will always reduce the pressure on the Main stations.

Ideally MAS should have stopping in Gummidipoondi, Tiruvallur, Avadi, Tambaram, Chengalpattu, Perambur, Thiruvotriyur for at least select long distance trains if not all. Even last year passengers from Tiruvallur demanded stop for coimbatore bound trains. Railways know the issue well but refuse doing this why because for them MAS is not a priority their priority lies elsewhere ! It would be no exaggeration If I say MAS is treated like GT express !!
True... There is no political will from local politicians too. For name sake one letter is shot once a year demanding a stop. Remember how they got Salem Division carved out from Palakkad. They literally blocked the tracks days together.
