Early Morning Meetup with the Queen of SER: 12860 Howrah - Mumbai CSMT Gitanjali SF Express entering Rajnandgaon Station by taking a Beautiful curve and showing it's uniform Rake with 37079 BIA Goel TMT WAP7.
The train was running late by 04:00 Hrs and arrived Rajnandgaon station at 08:18 am whereas the acual arrival time of this train is 04: 10 am early morning.

Bilaspur Rajdhani itself is getting delayed by around 4 hours... so you can imagine about other SF and mail express trains....

Yesterday again... SER does its job, 12810 Mail departs Jharsuguda bang on time. In SECR... arrives in Nagpur 4.5 hours late. About 50 minutes of which is due to extended scheduled stops. This has become a norm. Once in CR, it will probably make up about an hour.
I think SECR traffic management is the problem. It can't be just the freight traffic either, which seems to be non-issue on SER which is mostly double line whereas delays are being raked up in SECR on triple line section.

correct. I too noticing since 1 week between jharsuguda and Raigarh trains are getting delayed.

Yeah, it is looking ridiculous. It appears all trains are suffering the fate, including Gitanjali... I feel bad for anyone reaching after midnight. Horrible management, or perhaps there is none in SECR.
SECR's main priority has become Freight trains. This is now going on from approximately 4-5 years atleast. But it has now got to even more extreme levels from last 1 month or so. All of the delay happens between Jharsuguda and Bilaspur, where they like to keep freights on the mainline and pass trains through loop line on almost every station where it is possible, and let us not even talk of SF trains being OTed by freights. Due to this malpractice even the most premium train on the section i.e. HWH-CSMT/PUNE Duronto takes more than 4-4.5 hrs bet JSG and BSP. Sad state of affairs.
