The Railway Department has allocated Rs.346.94 crore for gauge conversion in 37.23 km of Kalol-Kadi-Katosan on Ahmedabad-Ranunj railway line connecting Automobile Hub Bahucharaji. Mehsana MP Shardaben Patel had on April 7 submitted a written representation to Union Railway Minister Ashwin Vaishnav that no provision had been made for the line in the last budget. Following the approval, work will now proceed with the procedure including tendering.
