Arvind.Chaurasiya^~ 3055 blog postsWhich was your first express train in which you traveled for the first time I travelled in Ajmer - Durg Express in 2004 or 2005 at that time I was very young, Due to an incident i still remember that journey from Shahdol to Bijuri I had to catch a passenger train but by mistake i took the express train, it had two diesel engines and the halt of that train was in somewhere between shahdol and anuppur so i guess and found that it was Ajmer durg Express . Fortunately, the passengers of the train alerted us and we got down from that train at Anuppur.

My first journey in Express train was perhaps in 1986 , from Mahendergarh to Bikaner in Meter Gauge Bikaner Express. In those days, its departure time was around 11:30 am at Mahendergarh and 19:30 was arrival time at Bikaner. रतनगढ से बीकानेर की यात्रा के दौरान गाड़ी बालू रेत से भर जाती थी। रास्ते में पड़ने वाले सूडसर स्टेशन का बहुत इन्तजार रहता था क्योंकि वहां पर बहुत ही स्वादिष्ट रबड़ी और बड़े मिलते थे। उन दिनों Ratangarh में LR होता था और आराम से 30/35 मिनट लग जाते थे। इस दौरान स्टेशन के बाहर मिलने वाली जायकेदार प्याज कचोरी पर भी हाथ साफ कर लेते थे। इस गाड़ी में Diesel Engine लगता था जो उस समय Bikaner Express के लिए Status Symbol होता था। क्योंकि Steam Engine ज्यादा use होता था इस section पर। उस समय की यात्राओं की मधुर स्मृतियां आज भी मन मस्तिष्क पर अमिट है।

Even visiting dongargarh bamleshwari temple during navrati was a charm those days and was like a dream come true, especially, in Mumbai Mail in sleeper class.
Running with number 8001/02 it was the only 24 coacher train and only pf1 had the length to contain it.

I had travelled between Secunderabad - Chennai & vice-versa when I was 2 yrs old in both Charminar SF Express & Hyderabad-MGR Chennai Central SF Express. But I don't remember which is exactly the 1st one.
Travel SAFE
