Trains can be speeded up in MAJN/PADL/PADLB-SBHR & in SKLR-HAS-MYS/ASK/SBGA sections since doubling can be done in these areas. But due to terrain SBHR-SKLR stretch of 55.5 kms will stay single line forever with 2 hrs 05 mins average travel time. MAJN to SBHR = 86 kms can be done in 90 mins if doubling is done. Shiradi ghats section starts from SBHR & ends at SKLR. SKLR-HAS can easily be done in 45 mins if doubling is done. So the average time taken in total will become:- MAJN-SBHR, 86 kms in 90 mins; at SBHR, 5 mins halt for banker attachment; SBHR-SKLR, 55.5 kms in 125 mins; at SKLR 5 mins halt for banker detachment; SKLR-HAS 42 kms in 45 mins. Total 183.5 kms in 4 hrs 30 mins @ 41 kph in place of current 6 hrs average. But due to Bus lobby & bus mafia, SWR is...
