"Only a few prime cities from each state can have that, right." - I disagree with this. Cities/towns smaller than TJ like Jogbani,Islampur, etc., are having direct/dedicated trains to Delhi. How do we justify that? Within TN itself, smaller cities like NCJ, CAPE are having connectivity to the capital. Then why not TJ?

"Fatehpur Sikri have been forgotten."- But TJ is not just a historical/abandoned place. It has the largest paddy cultivation area. Nearly 70% of TN's grains come from this region and it is of prime economic importance to the state. If...
more... they have forgotten TJ, then why have a Thanjavur district. Comparing Fatehpur with population in few thousands of people with a bigger city like TJ is not justified.
-
"TJ will get overshadowed by TPJ itself"- Yes. I agree. TPJ is the 4th largest city in TN and a hub of industry and agriculture. But we must remember that TJ is not a supplement to TPJ. For example, Fatehpur Sikri may have lost its importance to Agra. But thats not the case with TJ. It has its own significance and is a developing city.

To conclude, TJ atleast requires a halting train to the capital. Start a train from MDU/TPJ to Delhi and run it via TJ,MV. The entire Mainline will get a new connectivity.
please wait...Translate to English"Only a few big cities from each state can have that, ya know." - Nah, that's not right. There are smaller towns like Jogbani, Islampur, and such, that have direct trains to Delhi. How do we explain that? Even within Tamil Nadu itself, smaller cities like NCJ and CAPE have connections to the capital. So why not TJ?
"Fatehpur Sikri has been forgotten." - But TJ isn't just some old historical place. It has the biggest paddy cultivation area. About 70% of Tamil Nadu's grains come from this region and it's really important for the state's economy. If they've forgotten TJ, then why even have a Thanjavur district? It's not fair to compare Fatehpur with its small population to a bigger city like TJ.
"TJ will get overshadowed by TPJ itself" - Yeah, I agree. TPJ is the fourth biggest city in Tamil Nadu and it's a major hub for industry and agriculture. But we gotta remember that TJ isn't just a supplement to TPJ. For example, Fatehpur Sikri may have lost its importance to Agra, but that's not the case with TJ. It has its own significance and it's a city that's growing.
To sum up, TJ needs at least one train that stops in the capital. Start a train from MDU or TPJ to Delhi and have it pass through TJ and MV. That way, the whole mainline will have a new connection.
