Exactly. I dont remember it with 100% clarity so kindly correct me if I am wrong, When BOE-KIR direct line's gauge conversion was carried out, they followed two types of approach:
1. For half the section, MG line was upgraded to BG while still being operational, meaning that the existing MG line & the upcoming BG line shared same sleeper (similar to story of NG+BG between NJP & SGUJ or MG+BG between SGUJ & BORA)
2. New bridges were made for BG line, separately than MG bridges.
...

That's why in this section at some places, you can trace the earthwork of old MG lines, but at other places, it is not visible.

I dont think they have the SOP of dismantling pillars of old bridges. Similar views are available if you notice towards your right while traveling between AUB-BOE.

During his era, I read or heard somewhere, Mr Suresh Prabhu suggested that the old earthworks of these MG lines be also converted into BG. Consequently, the KIR-AUB section could have been tripled & the capacity could have been augmented. Well this did not happen, now many parts of these old MG lines have been taken over by streets/OHE poles/settlement, something that can be easily observed at the outskirts of KNE or AUB

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
