In the last minutes of her life, the mother told her son a secret,

Even in the last minutes of life, parents think about their children. Do we value our mothers and fathers enough? Just think how much patience, time and their own health they had to give to raise worthy people.
Our parents took care of us when we couldn't do it

ourselves. Such an age comes in themselves. Of course, each parent would like to receive reciprocal care from their child, but children often decide that a specialized institution will take better care of the parents.
But more often it happens because a person shifts responsibility. The banal reluctance to spend their time on a sick person leads to the decision to send their father or mother to a nursing home. This is the easiest and, at first glance, harmless way to escape from parental care. In fact, a nursing home is hell.
This story is just about such a family. My father died, my mother began to get sick. The son lacked time and this was the reason for him to send his mother to the shelter. The boy, of course, visited his mother, but not often.
One day he was told that his mother would soon die. The son was very frightened, rushed to her in complete confusion. He asked what he could do for his mother in the end, if there was anything he could do to help her.
His mother asked him for only one thing: to equip the shelter with refrigerators and fans. The request was incomprehensible to his son, because he did not know that during these years his mother went to bed hungry because the food was spoiled without a refrigerator. He asked why she hadn't told him about it before.
The mother answered this question, looking her son in the eye: “During this time I learned to cope with the heat, I got used to falling asleep hungry. My request is fear for your future. I'm afraid you won't get used to it when your child decides to give you a place like this… »

Share this story with your loved ones and maybe it will remind them of how much our parents do for us.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
