To be very honest, I have been dreaming of high speed trains in India since childhood. On this site, we talk about BPL Shatabdi as a KING, which is something too much. Calling a train KING does not make it faster. This train started more than 2 decades ago. How much have we achieved in terms of speed even after ABB engine and LHB coaches? I do not talk compare with TGV, Thalys, or Eurostar. When we talk about speed, these trains are real fast and I liked their efficiency. But, if I am going from Jhansi to New Delhi, the Shatabdi takes almost 4:30 hours and there is not much improvement in the time taken to complete this journey.
We may...
more... get into a state of blissfulness on seeing BPL Shatabdi cruising at 150+ KMPH. But, sincerely, we need to have at least all Shatabdi routes capable of 200+ KMPH and Shatabdis running at average 150 KMPH.
