You can find some classic cheap hotels if you have tight budget(Recommend but not for them who need luxurious). It is better to book a hotel online but there is no problem with offline.
If you are with friends than please go without a prefixed plan.
All Indian out of Rajasthan have a picture of Rajasthan in which there are camels, Dunes and Desert, Classical and traditional dress, feeling of remote area and totally peace. The actual Rajasthan is in Jaisalmer, Bikaner, Barmer, Jodhpur, Nagaur and western Churu only. Rest parts of Rajasthan
...
are like mini India.

In the fort area. If you know riding bike, then take a bike on rent and go to Tanot, longewala, kuldhara village, sam sandsunes (all can be covered in a day).

Pls go to jodhpur. Apart from what others have said, latest attraction is the new High court building which is the biggest and newest court premises in India. it will give you a look of Parliament of New Delhi. Near Kaylana Lake, there is Machia Safari Park if you are interested in Biology/Zoology. you may also visit the science park. There is Sumer Museum in Umaid Garden. Do have a walk in the old city markets. You will definitely enjoy the food, local fast food like mirchi bada, samosa, kachori and sweets of Jodhpur. That's guaranteed.
