"Is it?
.
- If MAQ - MAJN is handed over to SWR.
1. Atleast they will extend that ICE to MAQ.
2. Extend the BJP - MAJN train to MAQ.
3....
more... Take the PM of Tri-weeklies - day and night - from YPR to MAQ."
What's the guarantee that they would do that? What drastic changes did North KA see before Mr.Angadi became the minister? (Again, I am only talking about passenger services, not worker conditions. I have already agreed that workers would face problems if the zonal authorities are in another state).
They face the same traffic considerations as SR does today. They too would prefer to tackle them in the easiest way possible. Some changes might happen because of political pressure, but there won't be any major changes.
The media likes to paint the railway zones as being "for" a particular state. But that is far from reality. Freight traffic and trunk route traffic are always the main priority for the ministry. Everything else takes the back seat.
