After long monsoon, I was not able to manage and visit #waterfalls around Mumbai and hence decided to visit the most trending #waterfall in our Nation - #DudhsagarWaterFalls . This was a suprise to my beautiful Wife and by end of the day, quite satisfied with the destination.
September, I read there would be direct train to DWF and hence I decided to first visit DWF and then Goa. From our experience in and around Mao DWF DDS MAO, couple of points, I would like to share -
1.
...
Railway Station :
Dudhsagar (DDS) : Couple of M/E or Superfast and all Goods train halt. Alight and walk for half km to view WaterFalls. And further half km to view better angle and can cover two tier of waterfalls.
No scope to get swimming unless you move to or back Qulem (12km).
2. Dudhsagar Water Falls (DWF) : Only one train #06921 / 06922 that too on weekend. Two Lifeguards are available on weekend and one for rest of the days. Trek to waterfalls below which would demand couple of hours.
No railway station or complex, no ticketing or railway officials. Only one refreshment counter with one to many Monkeys. Half km to view better angle and can cover two tier of waterfalls. No scope to get swimming unless you move to or back Qulem (12km).
3. Qulem : via Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife sanctuary, Association (Rs600) will take you through lush green forest and some heavy flowing streams and get back to you same place. Currently, this is the only access to the Waterfall. I can say, it is monopoly. You cannot take your vehicle beyond Qulem, you have to park at Qulem itself and then take assistance from association. Upon communicating with locals, I heard this is only one association consisting around 600+ vehicles.

4. Additional Points :
4.1 Tickets to DDS or DWF are not issued. Either you can book QLM or CLR.
4.2 Passenger Train Ticket Fare MAO to QLM : Rs10, MAO to CLR : Rs25, No return tickets
4.3 No UTS Application Facility
4.4 Lifeguards will recommend you to take Goods Train but it will be chargeable ..
4.5 The plus point of going through Association is you can see the full view of Waterfall and can swim or bath whereas if you go by Indian Railway (DDS or DWF) you will see half of the waterfall view only.
4.6 Be VERY careful and safe! In the past, many accidents were reported and there were some serious ones too.. Yes, excited but not at the cost of life.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
