BHUBANESWAR: A new express train will connect Nayagarh Town to Bhubaneswar. It will run as a daily train with effect from
October 15.
The ministry of railways has approved 10 trains under its ‘Sewa services’ initiative for better connectivity between smaller towns
and important cities. The Bhubaneswar-Nayagarh Town express train is one among them.

more... Town train (18423) will leave Bhubaneswar at 6.40pm and reach Nayagarh Town at 8.45pm. Its return
train Nayagarh Town-Bhubaneswar (18424) will leave Nayagarh Town at 6.30am and arrive at Bhubaneswar at 9 am.
It has stoppages at Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road, Khurda Town, Begunia, Rajsunakhala, Bolagarh Road and Nayagarh Town. “It
will help several people who visit Bhubaneswar and Khurda frequently for different official and business purposes. Now a
person can travel Bhubaneswar in the morning and return in the evening after finishing work,” said Bipra Samantray, a
passenger from Nayagarh.
Presently, two passenger trains are running between Khurda Road and Nayagarh Town.
Union railway minister Piyush Goyal will start the Sewa services trains by inaugurating Delhi-Shamli daily passenger train from
New Delhi on Tuesday. He will also flag off other trains through videoconferencing.
The Railways has introduced five daily trains and five six-days-a-week trains. The other nine trains were Vadnagar-Mahesana
DEMU, Asarva (Ahmedabad)-Himmatnagar DEMU, Karur-Salem DEMU, Murkogselek-Dibrugarh passenger, Delhi-Shamli
