When in every sector we are moving towards privatisation then why not railways. Be it health, education, transport, everywhere a person is tilted towards private sector. And for those who can't afford there are subsidised governmental options too. The thing is if public will get what he/she wants, they are ready to pay more (or less due to competition e.g. airline fares). So, it can be tried on one - two trains. Not more as of now as IR at present is not in a state to go for full privatisation.
