There is a paranoia in Karnataka re a bus lobby in Bangalore that diverts and stifles trains, else we would have developed a TGV network by now. Looks as if friends from KL also caught a bit of it. Maybe you are privy to information that I am not but these bus owners in Karnataka, some of them acquainted with me, aren't really any mafia when it comes to their political influence. Some of them are political, and they do donate to the local parties, but their primary struggle and scheming is focused on getting around the competiton between themselves, the state competitor KSRTC ,the RTO and its bureaucracy. It'd be an exaggeration to say their influence holds sway all the way up to Delhi and the Railway Board.
