after the kallada bus incident, railways has decided to permanently augment banaswadi - kochu veli humsafar express with 2more third AC coaches w.e.f 26th of this month from banasawadi

40 Interstate buses.. Thats the highlight.. The operators would lose a chunk of services by this.. So only the lobby is playing its part..
This was in response to passenger protest at YPR station due to delay in YPR-Belgavi special train. This had come in Times of India today (Bangalore edition)
Yeah..Railway infrastructure in Bengaluru is less compared to chennai where Chennai have dedicated EMU services, MAS having 11 pf, MS having 9 pf and Tambaram. KSR Bengaluru has 7 pf towards JTJ, 3 towards UBL, and YPR has 6 pf.. They have to manage many passenger trains also in addition to the express trains, whereas Chennai have only less passenger trains.. ( 2 in MAS, 1 from MS and 1 from TBM).
So SWR's justification is somwehat genuine.
