I have gone to Kumarswamy temple in sandur hill top many times. It is a great peacock site I hope you have also spotted peacock when you visited. But bad luck I unable to spot the swamihalli railway track.
I am suggesting you that One of my friend (his mother hails from Kudligi). He said that yeshwantnagar is near Kudligi and can be accessed easily. One of the most interesting think that Kudligi is near sandur. Many times I have spotted the railway track when I gone to davangare via Sandur. The railway track was up the hill and the road is down the hill. But sir did you feel any fear when you reached the swamihalli seems it looked to be

so haunted? any train did you spotted during your journey like goods train, locks etc.?
Sir I am suggesting if you want to explore the tornagallu ranjithpur section you need to be carefull as after taranagar village the railway tracks takes you to edges of the mountain from where you can see sandur -donimalai-tornagallu highway. The railway track will take you to very dangerous terrain in middle of your journey you will cross with tunnels and a railway bridge which is near the lake. The place is tourist attractive. After you cross the lake you will come across with tunnel within railway track after getting out of the tunnel you will see a railway cabin (whether abandoned or not I don't no) but the scenery is very gorgeous. Visit to toranagallu once again and explore this places. Any confusion you can contact me in forum I can help you out of the situation. But be careful the place is near the forest many times the cheetah was spotted.
