Originally it was a dedicated ICE for Aurangabad Bombay. When it was extended to SC, there were protests that most of the train would be filled by SC/NED, leaving nothing for AWB. Already people from that region are suffering from insufficient connectivity, lack of pitlines and lack of dedicated trains. Extension of Devagiri will only trigger more protests from them.
Making COA-LTT daily is a more useful and easier proposal. End-to-end crowd is very less from COA, and once the CC is increased and GNWL given till BZA or GNT, it will be a very good option for GNT, with good availability.
