Mumbai Suburban Trip in One Day Part: - 6
Train: - 16 - 98206 Panvel-CSMT Slow.
Rake:-1089-1091-1092-1090.
From:-NEU to CSMT.
Train:-17 - 91249 Churchgate-Bhayander Semi Fast.
Rake:-5229-5231-5232-5230.
From:-CCG to GMN

The last part of the trip, after completing the kharkopar ride, we reached nerul waiting for your csmt local. We bid farewell to Sameer who had come to accompany us from Panvel to kharkopar. Our csmt bound local came nerul at 21:35; we all were almost tired and hungry , travelling nonstop almost covering each part of the mumbai. we removed snacks from our bags and started eating , I was very much tired so I doze off for some while , while others were busy in their social media and himanshu busy in noting down each stuff. Just before reaching tilaknagar rajesh woke me up to say bye as he was getting off at kurla, he was the one who joined last and one who was going to get home first , we reached kurla at 22:05 , Bidding farewell to rajesh we all started our nearly last leg of the journey, we were halted at wadala outer for few minutes, saw bandra bound local acceleration towards king circle. After departing from wadala , there were only 4 of us left in the first class coach , so parth from nowhere started saying shayari , we enjoyed his shayari and got our mood fresh. After departing from dockyard road we went on the door to enjoy the cold breeze, Took the pic of the moon with scattered clouds

There was Deccan odddesy rake stating in the yard , after departing from sandusrt road there was some train with wdp4d who was coming , couldn't see the road number of the loco. As kasara fast was obstructing the view. There were 2 brand new wdp4d in CST platform waiting for their duty. We entered CST at 22:33

The old clock at CSMT Our train at CSMT
After Exiting from CSMT , as it was eve of Christmas , the BMC hq and the CST had been lighten up with the lights , so we went to the viewing galley to take the pic of the CSMT , here is the full pic of CSMT on eve of Christmas ( 25th December 2018 )

After taking the picture, we were getting late to catch the last train of the trip, so we hurried up and got a cab for CCG, it took almost 10 mins to reach CCG, Virar fast departed from pf:-4 as soon as we reached the station, we went towards the food counter on the south end of the platform , we bought snacks and in that much time , AC local entered the CCG platform , we were amaze to see the Ac local entering ccg at this time, AC local had completed its one year of service on 25th December 2018 , and AC local doesn’t run on a public holiday. So that might for Motor men training purpose

After 10 mins AC local departed for the BCT yard. We were waiting at platform:-3 waiting for our BHY (f) as Sahil had to go up to bhayander
Our local arrived at platform at 11:05, we boarded the train, took the window seat. And felt relax as it was the last train of the day, going back to home finishing the whole suburban section in entire one day, we just missed the TNA - CSMT stretch. We reached Bct at 23:22 , the was a bunch of public waiting to get on-board , half the coach got full from Mumbai central, BRC sf express was standing on pf:-2 , Brc hog wap7 30472 was hauling it . Later superb acceleration between Mumbai central & dadar, Brc wap 22921 with dadar – bhuj waiting in yard, there was a huge crowd from dadar to board the local. Even the Fc coach got full; we still had 35 mins left for the validity of our ticket left. After departing from dadar we took selfie and started discussing about our next plan, as Railfan never like to stop exploring new route. We reached bandra at 23:35 & departed at 23:37, after departing from santarcuz we had a parallel run with 22901 BDTS – UDZ express, we overtook the train at vile parle outer, train was hauled by BRC wap5 30099. We reached Andheri at 23:45, 22901 were skipping Andheri at 50 km/hr speed, and we were given a cross over to slow line. AS Rjt duronto was just behind us, after getting to the slow line, and just within few minute , Brc wap5 30045 was with RJT duronto it had parallel overtaken 22901 . Reached jos at 23:46, we skip ram mandir at a decent speed around 70 km/hr as it was fully open route. Reached Goregaon at 23:51 sharp. And ended my journey and all others switched over to second class and they already had daily travel pass. It was really a day when we traveled the whole Mumbai section within just one day straight. Starting from 1st train in morning till the second last train in night.

If we had bought the tourist ticket we had to pay more than 2,000 for the first class ticket travel. But in tourist ticket it just coasted us 275 rupees .
The plan was made by me, modified by himanshu, Picture credits to Parth, Sahil. All the trains details, service number noted by himanshu, I would like to thanks all four (Himanshu, Rajesh, Sahil, Parth) of them to accompany me in my trip and make it possible.

Thanks for reading, will be back with another trip report soon
Udit Mehta.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
