Once I asked a daily commuter of the Flying Rani that why do daily commuters of trains like the Flying Rani, Lok Shakti, Kutch & other trains do daadaagiri & harass reserved passengers, he replied "see, Mumbai is the economical & financial capital of India, many people have left their native places & home towns & have settled in Mumbai for job opportunities & businesses you know, now in the morning time full Mumbai gets up & catches local train to go their offices & in the evening they return but the problem is that the western line of local trains start from ChurchGate & ends @ Virar so people living in Virar & south will have no issues but what about the people who are living beyond Virar, if this was in once in 6 months or a year or two than we would have been the same as reserved...
more... passengers but this is a "DAILY" thing, reserved passengers travel once in 6 months or 12 months or so that's why they can book reserved tickets but we cannot afford reservation daily & plus there are no trains who have halts @ intermediate stations so much, there are only a few trains like Flying Rani, Valsad Fast Passenger & Lok Shakti which have many halts but again the problem is given the number of unreserved general coaches the daily commuters are in hundreds & thousands so we have to encroach reserved coaches, our aim is not to harass anyone but daily travelling becomes an issue & thus you know the rest, these reserved passengers see from only their PoV, they do not see from our PoV, western railways should look from our PoV than make some arrangements, if you yourself residing beyond Virar & start travelling daily, you will know" - as told by the daily commuter
It seemed like he knew that harassing & daadaagiri is wrong but out of majboori they are doing it & I also say daadaagiri & harassment is wrong but the plight of these daily commuters made somewhat sense
