A1 stations still will get the same funding. If u check the facility given to the NSG 2 stations then u can easily correlate it with the facilities given to A1 stations
NSG 1 category has been given such criteria to differentiate the mega stations of India in terms of footfall and revenue generation. As per the older A, A1 criteria, a station with 60cr revenue used to be the placed in the same category as that of a station with 2000cr earning station. Most probably, to differentiate between the two and to provide better fund to the bigger stations like NDLS, MAS, HWH, CST, etc, the critieria of NSG 1 has been kept so high
