Kharagpur is connected to Dankuni through the Calcutta Chord Link Cabin, which is a major fulcrum point with four lines diverging so as to connect SRC/SHM directly with the HBC line, and giving a vital KGP and beyond, connectivity from SDAH/KOAA end....
This cabin is vital and in the near future would play a crucial role in reducing the load that is put upon Howrah....
And, finally the beauty of the station premises is also amplified due to the wet cloud cover, add the typical Bengal countryside beauty to the mix, you get the picture :)
