Delhi from Hazrat Nizamuddin Station to one of the most Influential cities of Bundelkhand i.e. Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh. Halts at Taj Mahal city Agra and Historical city Gwalior. The train has 12 coaches, among which 2 are Power cars 2 are Executive class coaches and 8 are Chair car coaches.
Started in 2016 on 5th April, the train aims to cover 188km of distance in 100 mins at a full speed of 160km/h
Gatimaan express has a premium feel to it, There are train hosts, entertainment facility and Onboard Snacks, They serve Breakfast and Soup in Morning trip and Snacks and soup in evening.
The cost of travel between Hazrat Nizamuddin and Jhansi is as 1120 Rupees for Chair car and 2290 Rupees for Executive Class
Max Dynamic Fare is 399 Rs and Max GST is 20 Rupees.
In this video Gatimaan express can be seen with fastest engine (locomotive) of India. Ghaziabad WAP5 30086. The gear ratio of this locomotive has been modified making it suitable for 200kmph operations and it has been fitted with Train protection warning system that applies emergency brakes if signal is red and train is not stopped by loco pilot. It also has Make in India Traction motors and drives from Hyderabad based Medha.
In future Gatimaan express rake may be replaced with Make in India trainset Train 18 with 16 coaches capacity and run without locomotive.
