Happy to see that now South Eastern Railway is COMFORTABLE with the most popular 3-Phase Passenger Locomotive WAP-7. As a result of which this Railway Zone now Owns WAP-7 in it's SANTRAGACHI & TATANAGAR Electric Loco Sheds and use WAP-7 as "Regular Links" of the following Prestigious Trains of this Railway Zone
STEEL EXPRESS(END TO END)
ISPAT EXPRESS(HOWRAH TO ROURKELA & VICE VERSA)
SAMALESWARI
...
more...
EXPRESS( SAME AS ISPAT EXP)
HOWRAH MUMBAI AC DURONTO EXP(END TO END)
HOWRAH PUNE AC DURONTO EXP(END TO END)
HOWRAH BANGALORE(YPR) DURONTO EXP(END TO END)
HOWRAH MUMBAI GEETANJALI EXP(SEEN WAP-7 MANY TIMES WITH THIS)
SANTRAGACHI OWNS 12 WAP-7 LOCOS AS PER Latest E-loco Records
click here
TATANAGAR owns 7 WAP-7 LOCOS AS PER Latest E-loco Records
click here
It is a matter of sheer pleasure & satisfaction that being one of the OLDEST Rail Zones South Eastern Railway finally introducing WAP-7 In it's two popular Electric Loco Sheds as mentioned and begins the Glorious Journey of this most Popular 3-Phase Stallion after a long gap of nearly 15 years(1st WAP-7 was introduced in IR on the year 2001 & allotted to GZB of Northern Railway) which is unexpected from South Eastern which is familiar with Conventional Passenger Electric Locomotives WAP-4 & WAM-4.
So, this Landmark Achievement of South Eastern can prove that this Rail Zone has a bright future ahead. Expectations can be made that more & more WAP-7 will be allotted to SRC & TATA IN near Future to AUGMENT & BOLSTER the STRENGTH OF WAP-7 FLEET OF THIS RAILWAY ZONE IN ENSUING YEARS.
Now as a Railfan I can ONLY DEMAND the following
SER SHOULD use WAP-7 as the "REGULAR LINK" of the following Demanding Trains too
================================================== ================================================== ========
****** PURI SHATABDI EXP( HOG WAP-7 SHOULD BE USED WITH THIS WHERE SER HAS GOOD NUMBER OF HOG WAP-7)
Why still WAP-4 is used with PURI SHATABDI ??????
Is it Logical to use WAP-4 with PURI SHATABDI & use Generator Cars to provide Power to this Train where SER has Power Generating WAP-7 Locomotives.
********* COROMONDAL EXP(EITHER FROM END TO END OR FROM HWH TO VSKP)
*********** SRC MAS AC EXP(END TO END)
*********CHENNAI MAIL
*********MUMBAI MAIL(VIA NAGPUR)
********* GYANESWARI & SAMARSATA EXP(RECENTLY LHBFIED)
================================================== ================================================== ========
So we can expect that in near future the abovenoted Trains will be given WAP-7 as "Regular Links" . As a matter of Fact we expect WAP-7 with more & more SER Trains in the coming years and simultaneously WAP-4 should be used with Lesser Trains in SER in the coming years.

Ispat is now again getting WAP 4 of SRC and on rare occasion it gets WAP7 that too of TATA. I have travelled on 1st Feb and other than that I spotted on 7 days in Jan and Feb always it was WAP 4. Ispat deserves WAP7. Even BBN JS got P7 for few days now again it is getting P4 of SRC.

SER,s HTE-PUNE SF is also getting WAP 7, mostly from AJNI but last monday when I travelled, it was TKD probably as no other P7 was in vicinity and my train was hauled by P7. Pehle SRC/TATA apne base ki trains ko P7 dega tab na hatia bhejega. Acchha bhi hai Howrah se SER ki some of the best trains khulti hai to wo P7 deserve karti hai, be it jnaneswari, gitanjali, coro, mas mail, cst mail, ypr drnt, adi sf, etc...

    These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
