There are some trains which run on multiple routes in a single rake like ADI-MAS Navjeevan Exp upto MAS and then upto Coimbatore as Cherian Exp. after a halt of few hrs.
Now for your train (Physically seen). You have seen it right but the fact is as under:
1. 9221/9222 - VERAVAL- AHMEDABAD SOMNATH EXP.
2. 9223/9224 - AHMEDABAD - JAMMU TAWI EXP...
3. (Dont know)- JAMMU TAWI - FEROZPUR EXP.
The same rake runs on all the routes but with sleeper upto S-8; B-1; A-1; and Gen. coaches as 9221/9222. The Composition at sl. no. 2 & 3 is not known.
So far as Veraval-Haridwar is concerned, I haven't seen. If you elaborate on which train you have seen this, I may try to verify. Because I frequently travel by Sl. no.1, I am sure. The board reads: VERAVAL-JAMMU TAWI-FEROZPUR Exp. This rake is taken for maintanence and added to the rest of the coaches. 3A has been added recently.
Yes, tickets from PRS counter will allow telescopic benefit otherwise you will have to buy 2/3 seperate tickets. Secondly, the train takes a longer route to Jammu Tawi compared to to other JAT trains from saurashtra.
