The Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation (MRVC) Ltd is recruiting candidates based on their performance in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). Like many other PSUs, MRVC also recruits engineering graduates based upon performance in the GATE exam.
Housed under the Ministry of Railways, the MRVC is tasked with executing engineering projects undertaken under Mumbai Urban Transport Project (MUTP). These projects have included the enhancement of the local rail infrastructure in Mumbai and extension of suburbs to aid rail transportation capacity.

Only Civil, Electrical, and Electronics & Telecommunication engineering graduates will be invited for recruitment to MRVC.
Besides admission for PG courses, GATE 2018 scores will be accepted by many public sector companies as a direct criterion for placement. These companies have a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with the IITs which allows candidates to apply for PSUs on the basis of GATE scores.
GATE 2018 will be conducted by IIT Guwahati.
