Meter Gauge Traction of Indian Railways is fast on the verge of extinction. These locomotives and carriages are abruptly the reminder of what Indian Railways was up until a couple of decades ago. Maybe this is what we can development, in the name of project uni-gauge, Indian Railways has decided to convert all existing Meter Gauge lines to Broad Guage, aiming at high speeds and better connectivity. Seen in this video is one such section, the MG section of North Eastern Railways (NER), from Aishbagh in Lucknow to Izzatnagar in Bareilly.
