I'm going to Kanyakumari. I have booked upto TVC. I'll arrive TVC in evening. Will get some rest there at the station. Then next day in the morning I want to see the sunrise in Kanyakumari. What are my options to reach Kanyakumari before sunrise. Please suggest train and bus mode only.

CAPE has Dormitories. Are you trying to say rooms are not available? If yes then also it would be better to go till CAPE and take a hotel. If you stay in TVC, you would neither get good sleep and instead you would be worried about your plans next day. So better proceed to CAPE. Have a good sleep, and witness sunrise in the morning. The Sunrise point is nearby railway station around 1-2 kms
Go till CAPE in this train, there are good amount of hotels in CAPE if Dorms are already booked. Getting down at TVC and then going to CAPE is not a good option.
In CAPE's travel tips its there. Last month I also tried to book but rooms were full. RR is there at CAPE. See the thing is for sunrise you have to be at CAPE by max 0530 hrs. After that sunrise can happen at any time. My parents went there 2 weeks ago and they witnessed the sunrise at 0550 hrs. So my advice is just get this ticket extended by onboard TTE, you would hav to pay 20-30 rupees. Get down at CAPE, look for Retiring Room. If not go for hotel. You can get hotel in around Rs 500-600.
