List of maximum. permissible speed (km/h).The potential speed permitted by the permanent way structures may be even higher. Max permissible speed by RDSO may be more than original max permissible speed and less than potential speed permitted by the permanent way structures. RDSO speeds are indicated for some routes but all RDSO certified speeds for a certain route are not indicated but it is tried to include atleast highest ever certified speed by RDSO for the respective route and some others including it in some cases. If RDSO certified speed is written – it is clearly indicated that it is RDSO certified because it may not be same as actual max permissible speed. Lower speed in curves, bridges, elevation or short part & speed restrictions are not indicated for max permissible speed & RDSO certified speed though they will be applicable. Patna: Danapur division of East Central Railway (ECR) has submitted a proposal to its Hajipur headquarters to increase the speed limit of trains up to 130 kmph between Patna and Mughalsarai. At present, trains run at 110 kmph on the Jhajha-Patna-Mughalsarai route.
Times of India: Jan 20, 2014, 04.26 AM IST PATNA: Railways has decided to increase the speed limit to 130kmph on the mainline route on Jhajha-Mughalsarai section under Danapur division of East Central Railway (ECR). Work is going on in full swing to strengthen tracks on this particular route. At present the speed limit is 110kmph on this route for Rajdhani Express, mail and express trains.
Hathidah (near Mokama) Guwahati/ Dibrugarh Town: Barsoi to New Jalpaiguri is mostprobably 100, New Jalpaiguri to Guwahati is mostprobably 100 or 105 or varies between 100 & 105 or something between 100 & 105 by SIMRAN (certified for other than c&M1 Vol I in Hathidah Guwahati/ Dibrugarh Town by RDSO is 105)
