*The case of negligence can be found in most of them. It can vary from food quality in Howrah Raj, nuisance created by anti-social elements in Dibrugarh Raj, overtake of AK Raj and last one to get lhbfied as in your case. To be frank, pax don't give a shit whether its lhb or not and things like overtaking by less prominent train blah blah. However, there are cases where the service isn`t up to the mark and have been resolved sooner or later.
*Can you please elaborate about the "worst pax services" felt by you in SECR. I have traveled in CGSK, ERS-BSP, MAS-BSP, ICE, Amarkantak, DURG-JAT/JP and found the service level to be top notch. There is OBHS scheme

in most of the trains, water refilling is done regularly, staff comes for feedback at the end of the trip, etc. Regarding importance, I don`t know what makes you feel some trains more important than the rest so I will leave it there. If you talk about operations, I feel SECR does efficiently manage both freight and trains with equal importance. Some members have reported OTing of Raj by MEMU/freight which I haven't observed it myself. Most of the tracks are tripled so they might have misunderstood that as an OT. There are some cases like my CGSK was overtaken by a python which I believe is necessary. Regarding facility, I believe SECR might be the first in some conveniences. The overhead misting system was first observed by me in SECR only. Escalators, new FOB are being inaugurated. WiFi is already there. The waiting hall of BSP was among the best I have ever seen.
*Regarding King/Queen of SECR, I won`t comment since it is too subjective. If someone says Durg-Nautanwa Express is the "KING of SECR", I respect that too.

Dear friend, SECR zone is not bad, in fact it is amongst the best in some respects and amongst the worst in some other aspects.
* Once (about 15 yrs back) I had a very long Rly related discussion with a senior Rly official (joined thru IES) during rail journey, who misconstrued me as a Rly officer and had spoken very freely with me. He admitted that work practices/ work culture at SERly/BSP division was amongst the best experienced by him in his career.
- Good Things about SECR-

Experience of travelling in ACIII of CGSK was the best experience.
* SECR is not bad or badly managed, in fact it is the jewel in the crown of IR. SECR had been back bone of IR finances, which always gave enormous profits and freight loading which has ensured enough funds for IR to keep loss making passenger trains chugging along the tracks.
* It is used to be a matter of pride for GMs to head SECR/ erstwhile SER zone and give maximum freight loading & profits to IR.
* Menace of Ticket less travel, Chain pulling, Loot, Theft etc is not there, local populace is cool & co-operative in general. So travelling in SECR originating trains is generally good and better than many other zones.
* Most of the express trains are well patronised, even 4days/week full length BSP-JU/BKN are well patronised. (Because most of the trains are introduced when they become overdue)
* Always had been No.1 or No2 zone in revenue generating freight loading inspite of very small RKMs (give 15% freight loading of IR with only 3% RKMs which gives about 10% of total revenue of IR).
* Gives highest return to IR amongst all zones for the capital invested by IR. One reason for this is the fact all the investment was done in doubling/tripling the freight which were highly profitable.
--------------Not so good things about SECR------------
* Most of the long distance trains of SECR are not given pantry car facilities, which is an injustice to the local populace who mostly use these trains, SECR lacks in this respect.

* SECR give more priority to operation of freight trains and lesser to express trains.
* State Govt and local politicians are not so active and rarely put pressure in Rly Ministry to bring in more & More trains, Rly facilities, New lines, etc.
* SECR was not given enough importance by IR especially for new lines in the past.
* Passenger oriented New line was not constructed in SECR. Even under construction DalliRajhara-Raoghat-Jagdalpur new line project (for movement of iron ores) is almost fully funded by SAIL & NMDC with minimal or no fund from IR. The new rail line projects initiated by present govt are also freight routes to facilitate ore movement and to earn profits. Passenger oriented projects of CG/SECR remain on paper and never move an inch forward for want of political push.
* inspite of giving huge freight and profits, the investment in the zone had always been minimal except for last 2 years after Mr Prabhu took over. Most profitable zone got last priority for guage conversion project, always other states especially home state of RMs got priority.
*SECR was not considered for first round of DFC, inspite of the fact that SECR, SER, ECoR jointly account for more than 40% of total freight inspite of having only 11% of route kilometerage. Atleast KGP-Bhilai/VSKP section should have been considered in first phase.
* long distance train connections still not given- Chandigarh, Dehradun, Goa, Rameshwaram, South TN(Trichy/MDU/RMM/KanyaKumari etc) Passenger train originating
* Train originating from CG to western India is required for destinations like Mumbai, ADI/Gujrat, Pune, Goa, CDG etc
* SECR take utmost care of two cities BSP & R(Naya-Raipur) and does not take enough care of others like Korba, Durg, Itwari (suburb of NGP), Rajnandgaon, RIG etc.
* Over riding weightage to NDLS-HWH, NDLS-BCT, NDLS-MAS trunk routes as compared to CSTM-HWH also go against SECR. In matter of raising speed to 130kmph, or of giving DFC this trunk route is always left out inspite of being a strong candidate.
