A new train from Punalur to Palakkad Junction via Kottayam, Ernakulam Town named 'Palaruvi Express' to be inaugurated through video link from Rail Bhavan on 19.04.2017. It will run ahead of Venad Express on its way to PGT & follow Venad on its way back.

Yeah; virtually crawls from PUU to KTYM. Halts at almost all stations; will have the distinction of being the first express train to halt @ Oachira(OCR). At present 9 pairs of Passenger/MEMU trains halt there.
Also, this will be the second express train to stop @ Cheriyanad(CYN), after Venad!
Still beyond KTYM, the new train is having limited halts as of now. But soon, other MPs/MLAs will exert pressure and make it stop everywhere. 16605/6 Ernad Express too was launched in similar fashion; halts everywhere between MAQ & SRR, but had stoppages of...

For us its good..we need to travel between ERN and KTYM/CGY/TRVL. thats our section..for me its a normal train..better than many others with no halt after KTYM ;)
Stops should be provided at chalakkudy, angamaly and irinjalakuda.
