Respected Sir/Madam,
With due respect and authority, I deem to express my opinions regarding the upliftment of ALUABARI ROAD JUNCTION RAILWAY STATION with regards to its patronage and infrastructure.
Let me introduce myself. I am BIKRAM KUMAR HAR, a student of Siliguri College and a resident of Islampur. My relation with ALUABARI ROAD JUNCTION RAILWAY STATION has been a long affair, since my mother, SWAPNA HAR, has been working at ALUABARI ROAD JUNCTION since 8 (eight) years as a Commercial Clerk.
As...
more... far as ALUABARI ROAD JUNCTION RAILWAY STATION is concerned, there are certain areas which the station lacks behind. With the increasing number of population in Islampur sub-division, ALUABARI ROAD JUNCTION serves as one of main railway stations in this segment of the district. But due to lack of proper planning, management, and the obvious public-pressure, the plight of ALUABARI ROAD JUNCTION isn't quite a standard one.
To begin with, last year (22-01-2016) there was an annual General Manager's (GM) inspection of ALUABARI ROAD JUNCTION, under KATIHAR JUNCTION division of NORTHEAST FRONTIER RAILWAY. During that time, there were several areas of positivity, e.g. Renovation of Railway Station, Inauguration of a Model Loco, Inauguration of a new Pay and Use Toilet Complex, etc.
In spite of those positive changes, there are still areas of darkness which urgently needs to be lightened up and upgraded. To begin with, the major concern as of now is a lack of stoppages of long-distance trains. With the gradual increasing number of passengers boarding and de-boarding ALUABARI ROAD JUNCTION, the prime focus shifts towards increasing stoppages of trains. As a Rail enthusiast, I would like to mention the name of a few trains for which the stoppages can be provided on an experimental basis at ALUABARI ROAD JUNCTION:
1. 13245/13246/13247/13248 Capital Express. (Serving direct connection between the adjoining State capital of Bihar, Patna and Guwahati)
2. 12523/12524 NJP-NDLS-NJP Bi-Weekly Superfast Express. (Serving direct connection with National capital New Delhi)
3. 12363/12364 KOAA-HDB-KOAA Tri-Weekly Superfast Express. (Serving end-to-end connection between State capital of West Bengal, Kolkata and Haldibari)
4. 15621/15622 KYQ-ANVT-KYQ Weekly Express. (Serving end-to-end connection between Delhi and Kamakhya via Dooars)
5. 22501/22502 SBC-NTSK-SBC Weekly Superfast Express. (Serving end-to-end connection between Bangalore and upper Assam, Tinsukia via Dooars)
6. 22611/22612 MAS-NJP-MAS Weekly Superfast Express (via THAKURGANJ). (Serving direct connection with Chennai)
7. 15721/15722 DGHA-NJP-DGHA Paharia Express (via THAKURGANJ). (Serving direct connection with South Bengal, Howrah and Santragachi)

Next, Coach Digital Display Board needs to be set up at ALUABARI ROAD JUNCTION to provide information about the coach-positioning of various trains to the passengers to make boarding hassle-free.
The Computerized Reservation Centre can be shifted adjoining the Unreserved Ticket Booking Office for better accessibility of the commuters and minimizing the hassle.
An IRCTC based Food Court can be set up within the premises of the Station Building to provide basic fooding and refreshments to the passengers.
The erstwhile Metre Gauge (MG) railway track, which have been removed from the Metre Gauge Platform (opposite to the Station Master's Cabin), needs to be replaced with a Broad Gauge (BG) track and possibly renovate the erstwhile Metre Gauge Platform into a Broad Gauge Platform for providing better accessibility to the trains plying through ALUABARI ROAD JUNCTION-THAKURGANJ-BAGDOGRA-SILIGURI JUNCTION section.
To follow up, a health unit needs to be set up at ALUABARI ROAD JUNCTION, to provide medical assistance to all the railway staffs of the station, along with providing emergency medical help to the passengers. To sum up, these are some of the urgent requirements for ALUABARI ROAD JUNCTION RAILWAY STATION to increase the patronage and infrastructure.
Sir/Madam, I believe that I have been able to draft the ideas in a sequential manner. If not entirely, then some of the above-mentioned logical demands can surely be thoroughly scrutinized, discussed and implemented, taking the initiatives from the higher Railway Authority. These demands can surely satisfy the need of the commuters on a genuine note. Would be surely hoping for positive approvals.
Thanking you in anticipation.
Yours sincerely,
BIKRAM KUMAR HAR.
