it is easy to get the answer. these trains are run at subsidised fares. they cant run too many. infact running of present ones is a burden and RM is trying to reduce burden.you know the present oil prices, and prices of other amenities those have to be provided
most of the GRs run with high speed, as intercities with least stops.Also these are alternate to VIP trains in those routes. may i know where the princlple of GR is utilised?
better IR cancels all the GRs. people may object politically but everyone...
more... knows inherently that it is not feasible.
IR may run all the trains transparently and stop subsidising one at cost of other, for no reason.(as you know, GRs have no measures to carry poors, you cant say they are for poors.)

most of them start simultaneously but shall have wide fare difference. GR and duranto shall start simultaneously with 30min gap and will reach in the morning with 1hr diff. both are AC. but fare diff is RS.350 atleast.
