RM should concentrate on improving the safety through capacity augmentation, modernisation and better maintenance and take following steps on high priority:
(1)Capacity augmentation of saturated sections by laying multiple lines, improvement in signalling, creating new crossing stations etc.
(2) Completing all the the track renewals, strengthening of bridges/ foundation etc.
(3) Automated and comprehensive monitoring of tracks using latest testing machines.

(5) Going fast on construction of new Dedicated Freight Corridors so that the conventional IR track (without freight trains) is safe for the high speed express trains.
