Presently SK has 2 rakes ..
One rake goes from RJPB to Ndls and same returns to RJPB from Ndls next day ..
Similarly The rake at ndls comes. To RJPB and then after having primary maintenance of approx 6-8 hrs return to Ndls ..
..
Lhb...
more... rake requires approx 6-8 hrs primary maintenance . Then only they are ready for next jrny..
..
This is the reason when sk comes only 3 hrs late to RJPB ..still reschedule for its return jrny .as primary maintenance is must ..
Why train cannot extend to DBG ?
When sk will come till dbg it will not be having that much time to do maintenance and return to Ndls ....
For this it requires one more rake ..which is not possible for any lhb train to get due to limited production of LHB coaches ..
Currently sk has 2 dedicated rakes ..
....
RSA stands for rake sharing ..it means two or more than two train uses the same rake and they are alloted more than 2 rakes ..
Eg - BSK ..Bihar sampark kranti express has more than 2 rakes ..thats y it departs ontime inspite of coming late at DBG .
A rake consists of all the coaches of a train ..
When a train departs for its jrny it uses its one rake .
Bsk one rake consists of 24 coaches ..
