suggest best option to travel to south india by train..... jalandhar city - rameshwaram - kanya kumari and back ( may include ujjain.. if possible)... suggest suitable trains to cover this journey within 10 - 14 day !! preffered II sleeper... jalandhar15@yahoo.com

Have Tirupati darshan on Monday. Tuesday & Wed for local and nearby sight seeing.
On Thursday catch Okha-Rameswaram Express/16734 at 06:15 reaching Rammeshwaram at 19:25 same day.

Many good hotels available there. There is also Gurudwara Sahib there. (Though there are only two Sikh families in a 40 km radius.) If you plan to stay there, I can talk to the caretaker/manager.

Friday: Darshan
Saturday: catch Rameswaram Kanyakumari SF Express/12789 at 20:45 to reach Kanya Kumari next day at 04:05.

Sunday: Sunrise and darshan
Now board Kanyakumari - Chennai Express/12634 same day at 17:20 to reach Chennai Egmore on Monday at 06:50

Monday/Tuesday : Kaali Mandir and others + sight seeing + shopping
Finally board Andaman Express/16031 from Chennai Centra on Wednesday at 05:15 to reach Jalandhar Cantt on Friday at 08:05.
Total days; 15.
You can also have circular journey ticket and save on train fare.
