Can anybody tell me that why do some Eastern (& Northern Railway) Superfasts Trains stop at small & medium sized stations like Jaunpur City , Nihalgarh and Sultanpur ?? They are not Rail Division Head Quarters nor are they of any strategic importance to IR (like absence of Loco Sheds and don't qualify for technical halts either) . Photo Source : Flicker.com . IRFCA Photo : A Goods Train with a WDM Diesel Loco (I think if it's Mirinda/Fanta Orange then it's got to be Shakti) . This place is Sri KrishnaNagar , which is near Jaunpur City . I just wonder that does KOAA - ASR Punjab Exp blast speed fully at Jaunpur City or does this stn have Temp Speed Restric like BWN . Thanks .
