Grievance Description : Subject- Status of Jabalpur-Balaghat-Gondia Broad Gauge conversion hello sir As per the decision in Railway budget 2008-09 Conversion of present Narrow gauge track of jabalpur to gondia to Broad gauge is sanctioned but till date the project is not completed and no news of when this project is expected to complete is given so i want to know what is the current status of Jabalpur-Balaghat-Gondia Gauge conversion and also please provide details of how much more work is remaining and how much work is completed and when the remaining work will approximately will complete so please solve my grievance ASAP

Details : It is reported by PCE BSP vide letter dtd30.01.2015 that Status of Jabalpur Balaghat Gondia Gauge conversion - Gondia Balaghat section 42 + 7 km commissioned on 06.09.2005 Balaghat Katangi section 46.8 Km Commissioned on 23.02.2010 Balaghat Nainpur section work in diversion portion in forest area has been stopped for want of forest clearance. The revised proposal for acquisition of 75.971 hectare forest land in Balaghat district, was turned down by Ministry of Environment and MOEF on 23.08.2013. Reconsideration of proposal has been submitted on 22.01.2014. A joint inspection with AIG NTCA official Nagpur held on 19.08.2014 at site. The report has been submitted to NTCA New Delhi on 20.10.2014. The FAC report for meeting held on 22.12.2014 is yet to be published. Naipur Jabalpur Section 113 Km The work of earth work minor major bridges limited height subway ballast supply etc are in progress. Target date of completion of entire project 31.12.2019.
