These pictures are of the 12801 Puri-Ndls purushottam sf express clicked by me at kharagpur station. The train was running around 8 hours late on that specific day, and was departed from puri at 5:30 am. And due to heavy delayed, maximum passengers had cancelled their tickets and the train was completely empty. Something like the white elephant (which all the rf's call, it was for that specific trip only.)
Pic 1, Pic 4, Pic 5 is one of the sleeper coach which was shunted and removed itself at kharagpur. You can imagine that if a coach had to be shunted and removed within its current run, and that too within 7 hours of origination than at what condition it would have...
more... been. From these 3 pics it is clearly visible that even the windows are broken at some of the bays.
Pic 5 shows the poor condition of the toilets where its window too has been broken, something like of poorva exp, which I saw earlier in IRI.
Pic 2 and Pic 3 are of some sleeper coaches and looking at them, clearly shows that the last time the rakes were cleaned would might be the time when the lhb coaches were given to it.
The last pic, pic 6 is taken from a general coach, and u can see it what would be the condition of the coach.
Now, the interiors of all the coaches were in extremely poor conditions. The rods at the door was too dirty to hold. Someone holding them for 2-3 mins could find their hands turned black, and that was the same conditions in the windows too.
The toilets were extremely dirty and smelled foul, and it appeared that no one bothered to clean it before it started from puri. Even a couple of sleeper coach didn't had bio-fitted toilets which are to be found in lhb coaches.
The only thing I liked about it during the whole journey that it maintained a constant run of 110+ from kur-kgp with src wap4, and then from kgp-tata with gzb wap7. (i boarded at kur and got down at tata.)
