What I have observed is there is a cold war between CR and SCR. Even if SCR is willing to introduce Nanded-Pune exp, Amravati-Pune exp at timings such as these trains will reach pune early in the morning,...
more... but CR is not allowing these trains to reach pune early morning citing the reasons of no slot available. Even inspite of SUR demanding Solapur- Nagpur train, same is not being introduced.
Comparison between Devagiri and Nandigram:
The coaches of Devagiri (SCR) are well maintained as compared to Nandigram (CR) - my personal experience as i travel every weekend in these trains.
Just for revenue purpose Nandigram is extended to Nagpur as origin and destination falls under CR.
SCR forced CR to increase the number of coaches from 17 to 21. Even now SCR is willing to augment and make it to 24 but CR is not allowing the augmentation citing the reason of non accomodation of rake in CST yard.
SCR also forced CR to augment Tapovan express from 14 coaches to 18 which CR somehow agreed.
Now when augmentation of Nandigram is in the hands of CR, CR does not do it.
If you look at the cleanliness and maintenance of other CR trains like - Sewagram, Vidarbha, Amravati SF, Punjab Mail, Latur SF, etc the maintenance and cleanliness of Nandigram is no where comparable. All old coaches are allotted to Nandigram. Why such partiality i dont understand.
It is CR which does not want Latur SF to extend to Nanded and so inspite of being announced in the budget, this train has not yet being extended. If you also see other CR trians running on this route like Deekshabhoomi, KOP-NGP, AMI-PUNE, Pune- Nizamabad pass, etc all these trains donot have good coach composition, no cleanliness, etc. NZB-Pune pass is a disaster.
All new trains started by CR on this route LTT-Ajni, NZB, NED have inconvenient timings in SCR territory.
FRom all these points I however opine that CR is not at all interested in Nanded division and just for sake of running trains the trainds are being operated by CR towards Nanded.
From all these points I personally feel that SCR takes time but at least fulfills few demands. But CR wont even do that in future.
Personally I feel CR wont give justice to Nanded div even if it is included in CR.
