NEW DELHI: Andhra Pradesh Express was delayed by nearly one-and-a-half hours on Wednesday after a bomb hoax call. Sources say that within a few minutes of the train leaving New Delhi railway station the SHO of the police station received a call about a bomb placed within a compartment.
The train was halted at Nizamuddin station at 5.44pm and a bomb squad along with GRP and RPF personnel rushed to inspect it. "The bomb squad of railway police reached at 6.25pm while the squad from Delhi Police arrived by 6.40pm. After a thorough check the train resumed its journey at 7.25pm," said a railway official.
