A Unsolved Mystery
-
Quite a fine evening, as i walk off in the famous marshaling yard of VSKP, for a change, i cross over the tracks n walk towards the most dangerous n restricted path, i'e towards VSKP ELS.
As i keep on chit chatting with my friend for a while regarding the new allotments n also explaining him about my Koraput...
more... tour (Which isn't posted/published in IRI or any sites), my eyes suddenly turns towards a ruined metallic object, which was taken over n was been guarded by the mother nature.
I just moved forward n tried to lean a bit to take a closer look on this mettalic object, n through my corner of my eyes, i spotted the great WAG-6's resting in their final days, far away from this OBJECT.
Then i took a deep breath n moved towards the bushy area, for more better look and what sent shivers in my spine, i couldn't even express.
Its one of the most oldest WAG Class locomotive, getting rusted badly, with bushes n vines taking over every hook n crook.
For a while i though this must b some WAG-5 class loco, but when glanced towards its truck sets, it wasn't the regular CO-CO arrangement, but it was a BO-BO truck arrangement.
I was taken aback, as if a lightening struck on my head. I just couldn't believe i actually saw the ancestors lying in a dilapidated condition.
I moved back a bit, took out my mobile to take a shot, but i guess Odds weren't in my favor! A RPF was walking towards us, so i just slipped the mobile back into my jeans n backed off for while.
As the RPF came near, he started asking questions, as usual, none can b trusted specially at hard times.
So he didn't bother much but made sure, we left safely before another corrupt sick cop comes in n frames us with wrong accusations.
Good fella, a good warning indeed.

Now, the real mystery,
Which locomotive is this?
From the body size, it looked pretty short, which totally resembles the WAG-1/2/3/4 class locos which had BO-BO arrangements.
To which shed did it actually belong?
The color reminded of BZA's few WAG-5 liveries n some similarities of VSKP WAG-5s too, but did VSKP really home WAG-1/4 in its initial days?
This mystery will remain unsolved for a while, but its quite sad to see one of earliest ancestors being left to rot under the sun n rain n the cruel winds.

Adding another update,
WAG-6B (26***) + WAG-6A (26001) + WAG-6C (26***) were seen in the corner, lined for their last rites.
The ABB/Hitachi Hunks will finally breath their last in few more years but nothing to b worried as the grandsons WAG-9's have arrived on the perfect time.
