A small trip which is only for only for information than riding pleasure.
Have taken a ride in MAS DD from KJM to MAS on friday 5th Dec.
This ride has many such "first" memories.

A first ride in DD and many such to keep it alive.
Since, DD was reviewed by many members, there wont be anything new unless hunted.
But, how is this useful for VSKP passengers who wanted to travel to VSKP from Blr is what I might describe.
Why you should take this train ?
1. Simple, there is no other train or combination from Blr to reach VSKP in the morning without losing a day or half leave on Fridays.
Take this DD around 15:00 hrs to reach MAS @ 20:30 hrs. 21:10, take the MAS BBS Sf to reach VSKP @ 10:30.
I strongly there is no other combination at the speed of direct train(YPR HWH or YPR BBS) to reach in morning than noon or evening.
2. Ample seats on every ride to MAS. Yes, DD fills pretty decently on Fridays and after a word with regulard guard on duty, the avg is around 50% per se.
MAS BBS fills about 1 month before DOJ and hence, there is still scope to get a seat. And WL clearance is tad high for this train. 400 WL was ended @ 43 WL.
3. Good speed, although unknown or felt when sitting in Upper Deck. Train is pretty clean and I call the design as JEWEL of Designs.
Space was extremely well utilized for seating, for luggage, washroom and small pantry areas in every coach.
4. AC was good all throughout the journey and is no deal breaker at all.
5. Food was good as per the co-passengers, although I tried with Tomato Soup, err its Tomato Rasam with XXL size crumb pieces.
Why you should NOT take this train ?
1. Simple, this is a people mover than a luxury train(although each costs more than 2 Cr INR). This is required between extremely crowded places
than for political ploys.
2. Leg space is extremely limited(pics in prev entries of this train). A 6 ft guy will find trouble to PARK his legs. A decent heavy built adult might find it difficult to adjust his waist.
3. There is push back for seats other than close to Center desk and the range is very limited.
4. Expensive over normal 2S and not Value for money when compared CC of normal ICE. a 200/- more ride in Shtb is more Value for money and time when
compared to DD but, KJM halt is deal maker or breaker for many.
5. Under utilized TT,speed and coaches apart from LOCO.(For RF's)
Small yet pertinent things which might not have been noticed.
1. Vestibule take you to guards coach, did anybody try ?
2. The steps outside the coach are more broad and flat than conventional coaches. noticed?
3. Feel of speed is lot of high in LD than UD, revisitng physics?
4. No noise in UD which is boring and I hate it.
5. P7 for this 8-10 coacher is waste. Fans, dont burn my effigies now,
