.
About the meet, the planning was on from the time our Admin S V Iyer** arrived Mumbai. We all decided to meet on 21st October at 1:30 pm as there are clashes of Premier trains of Mumbai on that day.
.
I departed from home at 12:30pm and was very excited. Met Jason at Bhandup station. We catch the 12:50 Ambernath local from Bhandup. Reached Kopar by 1:20 pm were we met Amol Nikam, Joshua Mendonca and Harshad Pavagi. At 1:23, Kamayani Exp hauled with WAP 4 #22307 of Bhusaval passed Kopar. Soon afterwards S V Iyer** sir, Rahul Warrier, Soham Lele, Prathamesh Prabhu joined us. WCAM 3 with Mahanagari Express slowly passed Kopar and a shocking moment, Fast local moved from PF2 of kopar and overtooked Mahanagari Express, Meanwhile all were discussing about the session. Later WDG3a #13497 hauled Mumbai - Hyderabad Express made us happy with its Hard Chugging. We were now moving towards Upper Kopar to capture Pune-Nizamuddin Rajdhani Livery Duronto. Meanwhile Harshad J arrived. Everybody took the pic from PF # 2 of WAP7 of GZB. The boyz sitting on Platform started asking "Kya hua Photo kyu keech rahe hai sab train ke?". With no reply we all moved on the Upper Kopar Platform.
.
10 Railfans Marching towards Vasai side of PF#3 and 11th Railfan came. Anshul Vipat joined us on Upper kopar Platform. Amol went on PF#4 to capture Duru while remaining 10 were on PF#3. I took my position little ahead of all. So 9 railfans together will take video from same place. Everybody ready in their position and WAP7 of GZB #30216 passed accelerating from Kopar. I m Damn sure that LP of Duru may have got shocked seeing this much big group of Railfans together :P. Anshul Vipat had got some sweets for us as he purchased a New Honda Activa on the eve of Diwali.
.
We then moved towards Kopar PF#1 & 2 where Pranit S joined us who came directly from College bunking it :P . We all decided to go at Dombivli. A Retro-fitted Rake came on PF#1. Everybody got inside the local and arrived PF#1A of Dombivli. We all had Jeera Soda at Dombivli Caters. Then afterwards Rahul Warrier** left us as he had to go for some work. We all moved towards PF#3 to continue our Railfan session. Now there were only 11 Railfans, A cricket team of Central Railway :P. Now its time for CST Jabalpur Garib Rath to cross us. WCAM 3 #21938 hauled Garib Rath crossed us at moderate speed at 14:30. Then again everybody came inside the Platform shed as the temperature was too high. After 10 mins all gone outside the Platform and took position to capture Dadar Aurangabad Jan Shatabdi Express. WDG3a #13557 of Kalyan hauled Dadar Aurangabad Jan Shatabdi Express blast past Dombivli well at 80kmph. We all were now tracking the location of Mangala Lakshadweep Express. It had crossed Kopar. Just after 2 mins of JNS crossing Dombivli, Mangala slowly slowly passed Dombivli with Golden Rock WDG3a #13157 with awesome Chugging sound. Later we all started discussing about various topics of CR and KR. WAG7 #27014 of Mughalsarai passed Dombivli with some goods towards JNPT. At 15:00 Mumbai Chennai Express hauled with WDG3a of kalyan #13580 honking passed Dombivli at 85 kmph. Now we all were desperate to know the link of 22109 KING OF SF. All were expecting a WAP4/WAP7 but I told Harshad J, WAM4. After 15 mins finally 22109 arrived Dombivli and everybody was shocked to see the link. Link was WAM4 #21345 of Bhusaval shed. AC SF crawl as the signal as Double yellow. But this catch of mine was the funniest. Prathamesh Prabhu started his video and just after 2-3 sec of his starting, A man came in front of him and said "Bahut nikala train ka photu. Ab mera photo nikaal". I was laughing seeing it. Train crawled but it was fun.
.
Later everybody's mood off. We all decided to go to NEW MODERN CAFE in Dombivli east. Anshul was giving Party :P. We all had some Masti outside the hotel as there was no seat available for us. After 5-10 mins we all got seat together. Everybody ordered Idli, Burger, Dahi Vada, etc etc. Bill came was Rs 595/- . Everybody contributed 55 Rs to pay the bill. Afterwards everybody came to Dombivli Platform. So now Amol and Anshul together departed to catch their local. Pranit, Joshua and Prathamesh also departed towards their home. Harshad J, Harshad P and Soham Lele too departed to their home. So now S V Iyer, Jason and I left. We waited for long time for CST Kanyakumari Jayanti Janta Express. WCAM 3 hauled Jayanti Janta Exp ripped through Dombivli station at 102.65 kmph. This was the CATCH OF THE DAY but it was capture by only 3 from 12 Railfans :P. After a long talk we 3 also departed. Jason went on PF#5 while S V Iyer and I went to Dombivli West. Iyer bhau went to their home and I visited to My uncle.
.
THIS MEET WAS ORGANISED BY THE RAILFANS OF CENTRAL RAILWAY FOR S V IYER**, OUR IRI ADMIN. PROBABLY IT MIGHT BE THE BIGGEST RAILFAN MEET OF MUMBAI
