Spending 4.30 hrs in KPD-MAS section which usually takes max around 2.30hrs is absolutely ridiculous that too for such a long distance & important train ... Feel very sad for end to end pax ...

actually it was extended from MAS oly!!!!! So it has to go via MAS!!!!!!!!!
from the date of extension the TT is like ds or degraded after some time to this level ... If slot from MAS is a prob then they can atleast start late na ...
that i'm not aware of it!!!! As for as my knowledge most of them wont prefer this for end to end!!!!
What I heard is to reach DHN from MAS most of them will take Coro till HWH and then take HWH-RNC ICE exp....

For a few years in between it did by pass madras and used to halt at perambur. It was only due to passenger demand who found it inconvenient, that chennai was again reinstated. There are quite a good number of passengers from ers,pgt,cbe bound for tata,rnc,vskp who prefer this train due to absence of any other options.Also this being a daily train is an advantage. But the fact is over the years by adding more and more stops, it has been degraded like anything.
