A trip planned to be so much eventful for the participating members that they would remember a journey like this for some time.
We decided to explore the ACC Link from Santragachi/Andul - Dankuni/Belanagar Section that too during the DAY time as there are ONLY TWO trains that travels through the route i.e Shalimar Patna Duronto and Sealdah Puri Duronto.
This trip was postponed once, almost got cancelled the last moment and finally got underway with the enthusiasm of THREE participating ADMIN's of IRI.The others who are active Admin's of IRI and...
more... have been participating in Kolkata based events were all informed but due to pre-occupation and various others intriguing factors, few could not participate.
And i must reiterate that what a miss it was.

FEW NOTABLE FACTS of this Route and trip:
1)The first of it's Kinda Train of SER to NFR,
2)Only 2nd Day Time train to travel through the section.The earlier being Sealdah Puri Weekly Special.
3)1st DAY TIME Train to travel between SRC - DKAE section.
4)KOLKATA based Admins as usual was there to explore the route.
5)ANY SER Rake travelling to ER and NFR Territory;
6)Confirmed presence of SER home shed based ALCO travelling in ER and NFR territory though their might be instances when a SER Alco might have traversed through the route but that was an Offlink.

We decided to travel till Burdwan from Santragachi by this train and then do RF-ing at High Speed Zone Khana Jn which also incidentally is the bifurcation point to NJP/GHY/BGP based trains and come back by Howrah Burdwan Main Line.
1)Myself, Joydeep Roy and Kanishka Mitra from Right;
2)A 12 Car EMU waiting to move to Tikiapara Shed after his portion of Office;
3)Waiting for our clearance while the Main line is Cleared for Howrah Ghatsila Memu.
