Pursuant to earlier order passed by this Court, an affidavit of compliance� dated 29.01.2014 on behalf of Railway Board has been filed by Divisional Railway Manager, Northern Railway, Lucknow.
The core of the affidavit is based on certain decisions taken by the Board in its meeting held on 12.12.2013. Since from the date of the meeting of the Railway Board considerable time has elapsed, therefore, the Court needs to ascertain the current status on the action taken on the decision.
Accordingly, let this case be listed on 17.04.2014.
On the next date of listing, another affidavit of compliance by the railways shall be filed indicating therein the issue wise decision of the Board and the action taken thereon.
Sri Asit Kumar Chaturvedi, learned counsel for Railways undertakes to get the affidavit prepared containing the developments which took place till 1st April, 2014.
Learned Additional Government Advocate appearing for the State will file an affidavit to be sworn in by the Director General of Police, Railways indicating therein the number of incidents of train dacoity which occurred, number of cases registered during the last three months in the State of U.P. and the action taken by the police.
The said affidavit shall indicate as to how many cases have been worked out/solved and what further measures are being taken by the Government to ensure that such incidents are in check.
