hmy is harmuti jn from where a 18 kms branch line to naharlagun/nhln bifurcates
the possibility of extension looks bleak given the planning.Stations are being buit on the outskirts of the main city these days and that helps in city expansion and proper urbanisation.Look at DBRG for dibrugarh city.Mariani jn for Jorhat,Dekargaon FOR TEZPUR.Public transport will develop with more and more long distance trains being announced.
Has any project been completed on time?People say that the pillars have not been installed till today and some have been washed away.Arunachal as a state will get new trains irrespective of BOGIBEAL BRIDGE completion.And the line upto Lakhimpur is ready which is again and important upper Assam town.Tracks laying upto Murkongselek will take time.Till then trains like-
1.LAKHIMPUR-KAMAKHYA EXP.
2.NAHARLAGUN-GUWAHATI JAN-SHATABDI EXP.
3.NAHARLAGUN-KOLKATA...

that means on the other side of that route the line wont go to tezpur also?? it will be terminated at dekargaon itself?
