When this GR was running as a biweekly earlier it was announced to be extended to Allahabad by Lalu in his budget speech, However some zonal politics ensured train remained @Jabalpur only
As a biweekly service it always used to run for 1 more day every week during the holiday period and some 2 years back it got converted to triweekly and finally with that its fate of remaining stabled @Jabalpur got sealed (though there is not much demand for a triweekly service)...

U r right its such a waste just go through the seat availability for the month of may (jbp to cstm ) n also (cstm to jbp) that iswhy there should be srious consideration for this train to be extended to allahabad giving equal kotas to jbp
